Things You Need to Know
Frequently Asked Questions
Is this tour safe for beginners and kids?
Absolutely. Safety is our top priority. Our expert guides are not only highly trained in canyoneering and rescue techniques, but they’re also incredibly patient and skilled at working with guests of all ages and experience levels—even complete beginners as young as 5. You'll be fully supported every step (and rappel) of the way.
What if I’m afraid of heights?
You’re not alone! Many of our guests have started out nervous—and ended the day proud, exhilarated, and asking when they can do it again. Our guides specialize in helping you move at your own pace, offering support, encouragement, and even tandem rappel options to help you build confidence safely.
What should we wear and bring?
Be sure to wear sturdy, comfortable hiking shoes and dress in layers to stay comfortable as the weather changes. Bring along sunscreen, sunglasses, water, snacks, and a camera. We’ll take care of all the technical gear—helmets, harnesses, ropes, and everything else you’ll need for a safe and fun rappelling experience.
Is this a private tour? Will we be with strangers?
All of our adventures are 100% private. It’s just your group and your guide—so you can focus on creating memories, not managing strangers. Whether it’s your family, partner, or group of friends, we tailor the experience to your pace, preferences, and comfort level.
Do I need to be in great shape to enjoy this?
Not at all. Ladder Canyon is a moderate adventure designed to be accessible for a wide range of fitness levels. If you can hike a couple of miles and climb stairs, you can absolutely do this—with plenty of breaks, guidance, and encouragement along the way.
What happens if the weather is bad?
Our team closely monitors local conditions, especially during monsoon season or winter weather. If we foresee any safety risks, we’ll reschedule or offer an alternate canyon that’s just as scenic and thrilling—but safer for the day’s forecast.
Is it really worth the price?
We get it—your time and money matter. That’s why every Ladder Canyon tour is crafted to feel exclusive, empowering, and unforgettable. You’re not just booking a tour—you’re investing in a transformative, bucket-list-worthy experience led by guides who treat you like family.
Will we be hiking in water or getting wet in Ladder Canyon?
Ladder Canyon is typically dry. In rare cases, there may be shallow, knee-deep pools depending on the season. Your guide will let you know ahead of time and adjust the route if needed—so you stay dry or dive in, depending on your preference.
